Letter From the General Manager
We are looking forward to an exciting 2006 at Echelon, Home of the Georgia Tech Club. The long awaited completion of the golf course has arrived with the excitement and expectation of opening this fall. In addition, and with equal excitement, our first three families have moved into their new homes.
The Melrose House interim clubhouse will be located adjacent to the ninth green and will provide many of the services of a clubhouse operation including Pro Shop, Grill Room, Terrace Dining, Changing and Restrooms. The facility will also accommodate Club/Development Administration and Sales offices. The Melrose Company will build the facility and once the permanent Clubhouse is built; The Melrose House will be converted into a corporate residence for a long-term presence in the Atlanta area. With its prominent location and luxury finishes and fixtures, the Melrose House will offer and interim clubhouse facility that we can be proud of. The anticipated completion would be Spring 2007.
Swim and Tennis
With the decision to build the Melrose House and its scheduled opening next spring, we have re-scheduled the construction of the swimming pool and tennis courts until late spring of 2007. Design work will begin late this year.
Community/Club Access
As announced, our first residents have moved into the property. The gatehouse is complete and will be manned from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. All access after 10:00 p.m. will be via remote or keypad entry. As a private club and community, access to the property will be limited to property owners, club members, contractors and guests.
Auto decals are now available and each property owner and club member will be required to have a valid decal in order to enter the property.
Sales
As of this writing, there are only 11 home sites remaining in Phase 1. Our Builders have either completed or are under construction of twelve homes ranging in price from $1.5 Million to $ 4.4 Million, and eight additional house plans are in the Architectural Review process. We anticipate a complete sell out of Phase I home sites this year and a release of Phase II home sites The Spring/Summer of 2007.
Brad McDaniel, Director of Membership, continues to receive great response to our weekly membership prospecting events. If you are interested in participating in one of these events please contact brad at (404)240-7225. Each prospecting event provides a complimentary nine hole round of golf including lunch. We are projecting to have approximately 180 members by the Grand Opening this fall. For a complete tour of the golf course, please feel free to contact Brad at the Sales Office.
